Bell Ringers

St Michael's has an active group of call-change bell ringers who ring each Sunday for the main service from 9am to 9.30am and also for weddings & other special occasions.

On the first Sunday in the month we also endeavour to ring for the service at St Wendrona's from 10am to 10.30am.

We have a peal of eight bells at St Michael's which were refurbished in 2015 - the tenor bell being approx 15cwt. St Wendrona's has a peal of six which are a little lighter.

Practice night is at St Michael's each Tuesday 7.30 - 9.00pm except for the first Tuesday in the month when it is normally at St Wendrona's.

After ringing practice several of the ringers usually gather for a social get together at one of the local pubs

Visitors are welcome to join us and anyone wishing to learn to ring is also welcome.
